"Sweet Jenny Lee" opens the album Frost Music like some unholy marriage between the Zombies and Ted Nugent's Amboy caregluperpamobippanngerosnana.coinfo that sums up nicely this wonderful amalgam of British and Detroit rock, a surprisingly poppy effort from Dick Wagner and company. As a future purveyor of hard rock, and within the decade, eventual producer of his friend Mark Farner, the English sounds of bands like.

Nov 16,  · The resulting album was called “Frost Music” and it quickly became the # 1 LP in Michigan, selling over 50, units in a matter of months. Although it suffered from Sam Charters’ thin production, “Frost Music” was chock full of great guitar-driven songs and was listed among the Top 3 LPs for five consecutive weeks on Detroit’s.

Early work by Frost – one of the tightest rock groups on Vanguard Records at the end of the 60s – although this package of tracks wasn't issued until nearly a decade later! The tracks here are tight, heavy, and have a nice blend of blues rock and freakier fuzz in the mix – balanced out by some harmonica and acoustic guitar, which make these guys way more than just another.

Hearing this music makes one wonder why Frost Music isn't as sought after as Moulty & the Barbarian's first album or Chocolate Watch Band. If Paul Revere & the Raiders and Leslie West's the Vagrants got immortalized on the Nuggets compilation, it makes the obscurity of the Frost all the more obliging.
